Tasting Note: A modern interpretation of an historically important wine from the Maremma region, its aged in porous concrete vats for 7 months which allows small amounts of oxygen in to let the wine mature in a way which allows the grapes to retain the characteristics we know and love. Ripe and rounded with refined tannins and aromas of ripe black cherries and fragrant violets, the palate is smooth with a whisper of spice from the hint of Syrah added.
Pair it with: A traditional Tuscan dish of Bistecca Alla Fiorentina or Lampredotto for the carnivorous amongst you, or with Ribolita and panzanella for the bread loving veggies.
