Molino di Sant'antimo

About Molino di Sant'antimo

Another wonderful example from the region of Maremma, this farm has three generations of wine makers still living on the farm.

The family Vittori were a huge help during the filming of Second Chance Summer as they were the farmers that we sold all the grapes for that we picked. Since the end of filming I have become good friends with the family, I have been working with Giulia and her partner Samuele in sourcing wines for our wine club. I have also spent time with Valeria (the wine maker) discussing wine, and making and doing some filming at the farm.

Being a Brunello producer this farm is based up in Montalcino, a place known the world over for producing top end Sangiovese. The estate is organic and produces a number of wines including a 100% Chardonnay which is quite rare in the region.

The farm produces roughly 80,000 bottles of wine a year so a little larger than all the other estates we work with, but these guys make great wine and are friends with a great story of how we met.
